PBB Teen big winner Myrtle Sarrosa’s father almost sent her home; defends daughter from haters

PART OF LIFE.
“So, I think that’s part of life.
“Di ba, may nagla-like?
LARGE CHUNK OF VOTES.

PBB Teen winner Myrtle Sarrosa admits crush on Robi Domingo; honored to be called "Erich Gonzales look-alike"

“Wow, nasa outside world na talaga ako!” sabay tawa niya.
“I’m very thankful po kasi, parang yung feeling is very blessed na… nakaka-proud po yung feeling na maraming naniniwala sa ‘yo."
May kuwento siya na two years ago, napadaan daw siya sa PBB house at nasabi niyang, “One day, I’ll also be a Big Winner.”
“No! Dati talaga, at first lahat naman tayo yata nangangarap ng ganito.
“'Tapos sabi ko kay Mama, “One day, I’ll become a housemate and I’ll become a Big Winner.’
“And sinabi ko lang ‘yon out of impulse.
“The only word na masasabi ko is… thank you sa lahat.”
LIFE-CHANGING.
“I guess po, parang there is a bigger responsibility sa akin.
“Na… this title is ibinigay sa akin ng mga tao dahil they saw something in me na nagustuhan nila.

Myrtle Sarrosa brushes off intrigues about her Pinoy Big Brother win

by: Rachelle Siazon
071512-myrtle-main.jpgPBB Teen Edition 4's Big Winner Myrtle Sarrosa refused to be affected by the negative response in various social media sites following her landslide win in the said reality show. The 19-year-old is confident that she can prove that she's deserving of the title especially now that they'll be given opportunities to join showbiz. "Of course mahe-hurt ako at first [sa negative tweets about me]. Pero na-realize ko na kanilang opinion yun. For me, masaya ako," she said during the Big 4's grand press con last July 11.

She also denied the circulating rumors that her family shelled out a big money for her own 'publicity machinery' especially at times when she'd get nominated for eviction during the season. "Walang ini-spend ang family ko for publicity." She's aware though that being a member of Sanggunian Ng Kabataan and the cosplay community might have lobbied for her in social networking sites. "Before entering PBB, hindi naman po sa pagmamayabang, may name na ako sa cosplay community kasi nagko-compete ako nationwide, so may supporters na talaga  ako. So yun po, baka po tinulungan nila ako and very thankful ako sa kanila dahil tinulungan nila ako."

As for the real score between her and fellow housemate Yves Flores, Myrtle maintained that it's better for them to stay friends than pursue a serious commitment. As it is, starting a career in show business is her priority at the moment. "Sa ngayon friends kami. Ayoko magsalita ng  patapos pero for me wala akong plano ngayon magpaligaw.

What can she say about the fact that their batch has been known for being aggressive and all they think about are fun and romance? Pero para sa amin talaga yung relationship  namin is more like brothers and sisters. And parang tuwing magkakasama kami, nagkakatuwaan lang kami."

PBB Teen Big Winner Myrtle Sarrosa plans to balance school and a showbiz career at the same time

by: Bernie Franco

If they think I’m deserving or not, kasi lahat naman tayo we have our own opinions and there are always two sides of a coin and I’m just very thankful and very glad that there are more people who love me than those who hate me and ngayon na nandito na ako sa outside world, I will prove to you all na kaya kong panindigan at kaya kong patunayan kung bakit ako ang nanalo,” pahayag ng dalaga.

“Parang it hasn’t sunk into me completely, it’s still a dream and I’m just very thankful sa lahat-lahat ng tao kasi I won’t be here if it werent for you.”

I’ve always told myself I will defend those who cannot defend themselves. I will become a lawyer, I want to become a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) lawyer.”

“I’ll try my best to manage both at the same time. If there are opportunities it’s once in a lifetime talaga, I will grab it, but at the same time, hindi ko kalilimutan ang studies ko.”

Unang sumagot sina Jai at Joj. “We want to be PBB Big Winners pero pag susunugin mo ba mapapakita mo na Big Winner ka? For us lahat ng gamit do’n may kwento, bumuo ‘yan sa tao.

I wanted to take risks for my game. I just want to take a leap. At first inisip ko rin if it was my thing (if) I would burn it completely.”

Dagdag pa ni Myrtle, “This week na-realize ko rin na I should just be detached, don’t expect too much. At the same time, do your best and whatever decision you make, panindigan ko na and whatever I do I’ll just be happy and I did my best.”

Myrtle Sarrosa wins PBB Teen Edition 4

HOUSEMATE Myrtle Sarrosa of Iloilo City was named Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen Edition 4 Big Winner on Saturday after receiving the highest number of text votes.
Known as the "Cosplay Cutie of Iloilo," Myrtle ranks third in the list of top costume players in the country. She also serves as Sangguniang Kabataan president in her hometown.
The 17-year-old cosplayer had a rough start inside the house when she had numerous confrontations with the other girl housemates.
She was initially linked to Angeles native Kit Thompson but later on shared a tighter bond with Yves Flores.
Although she constantly denies her feelings for Yves, Myrtle was seen hurt by Yves' constant lying about his real status with best friend-turned-girlfriend Kim.
During her stay inside the house, Myrtle tried to bond with all the housemates and stayed true to what she believed in.
Some have criticized her for playing too safe, but she did let her voice be heard.
Aside from the "PBB Teen Edition 4 Big Winner" title, Myrtle went home P1 million richer and received gadgets from Sony, appliance showcase, and an Asian tour package.
Following Myrtle's win is 15-year-old Karen Reyes from Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.
Tagged as the "Hagikhik Chic" of this edition, Karen found love with co-housemate Ryan Boyce.
Karen earned 11.91 percent of text votes, while Myrtle received 33.92 percent.
The third big placer was Camarines Sur native Roy Requejo. Known as "Boy Sipag of Naga," Roy comes from a broken family and has worked as a garbage boy, construction worker and welder to provide for his siblings.
In the latter part of the reality search, his estranged parents visited the house and showed their support for their son. They vowed to be more civil for the sake of their children.
Although criticized for also playing too safe, Roy believes he was able to show his real self while staying for months in the famous house. The 17-year-old housemate said his actions were based on what he stands for.
Completing this season's winners are Negrense siblings Jai and Joj Agpangan.
Hailed as the "Doble Bida of Bacolod," the two housemates were the first identical twins to enter the PBB house.
The two went through a lot during their stay in Big Brother's abode. One of them was challenged by Kuya to pretend as gay and also had to fight for their place in the Big 4. The Agpangan's received total votes of 9.26 percent.
The second, third and fourth big placers also received cash prizes, appliance showcase and gadgets from Sony.
Hosted by Robi Domingo, John Prats, Bianca Gonzales and Toni Gonzaga, the finale was held Saturday evening in Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan.
The event was graced by past PBB housemates Kim Chiu, Slater Young, James Reid, and Ryan Bang, among others. (Sunnex)
