Myrtle Sarrosa wins PBB Teen Edition 4
HOUSEMATE Myrtle Sarrosa of Iloilo City was named Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen Edition 4 Big Winner on Saturday after receiving the highest number of text votes.
Known as the "Cosplay Cutie of Iloilo," Myrtle ranks third in the list of top costume players in the country. She also serves as Sangguniang Kabataan president in her hometown.
The 17-year-old cosplayer had a rough start inside the house when she had numerous confrontations with the other girl housemates.
She was initially linked to Angeles native Kit Thompson but later on shared a tighter bond with Yves Flores.
Although she constantly denies her feelings for Yves, Myrtle was seen hurt by Yves' constant lying about his real status with best friend-turned-girlfriend Kim.
During her stay inside the house, Myrtle tried to bond with all the housemates and stayed true to what she believed in.
Some have criticized her for playing too safe, but she did let her voice be heard.
Aside from the "PBB Teen Edition 4 Big Winner" title, Myrtle went home P1 million richer and received gadgets from Sony, appliance showcase, and an Asian tour package.
Following Myrtle's win is 15-year-old Karen Reyes from Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.
Tagged as the "Hagikhik Chic" of this edition, Karen found love with co-housemate Ryan Boyce.
Karen earned 11.91 percent of text votes, while Myrtle received 33.92 percent.
The third big placer was Camarines Sur native Roy Requejo. Known as "Boy Sipag of Naga," Roy comes from a broken family and has worked as a garbage boy, construction worker and welder to provide for his siblings.
In the latter part of the reality search, his estranged parents visited the house and showed their support for their son. They vowed to be more civil for the sake of their children.
Although criticized for also playing too safe, Roy believes he was able to show his real self while staying for months in the famous house. The 17-year-old housemate said his actions were based on what he stands for.
Completing this season's winners are Negrense siblings Jai and Joj Agpangan.
Hailed as the "Doble Bida of Bacolod," the two housemates were the first identical twins to enter the PBB house.
The two went through a lot during their stay in Big Brother's abode. One of them was challenged by Kuya to pretend as gay and also had to fight for their place in the Big 4. The Agpangan's received total votes of 9.26 percent.
The second, third and fourth big placers also received cash prizes, appliance showcase and gadgets from Sony.
Hosted by Robi Domingo, John Prats, Bianca Gonzales and Toni Gonzaga, the finale was held Saturday evening in Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan.
The event was graced by past PBB housemates Kim Chiu, Slater Young, James Reid, and Ryan Bang, among others. (Sunnex)
